Krakow Memory Trail Electric Cart Tour
The Memory Trail is our flagship route, a 60-minute journey through the whole arc of Jewish Krakow. It begins in medieval Kazimierz, where seven synagogues and the 16th-century Remuh cemetery survive, and where the guide explains how Jewish and Catholic communities shaped the city side by side, the golden age when Poland was one of the most important centres of Jewish life in Europe.
The cart then crosses the Vistula to Podgorze and the wartime Ghetto of 1941 to 1943: the tombstone-shaped wall fragments, Ghetto Heroes Square, the Eagle Pharmacy and Schindler's Factory. The guide traces the origins of the persecution and the fate of Krakow's Jews, of the roughly 70,000 who lived here in 1939, only a few thousand survived. But the Memory Trail is not only about tragedy: it also shows the beautiful, often overlooked town of Podgorze. Because it links three areas far apart on foot, this is where the electric cart truly earns its place, covering in one hour what would take most of a day to walk.
An hour in the cart moves through moods as much as districts. The ride opens among the lanes and synagogue gables of Kazimierz, slows on the bridge over the Vistula, and settles into the quieter streets of Podgorze.
