Two Jewish restaurants in Kraków with a concert every evening, Ariel and Klezmer-Hois, are both on Szeroka Street in the Jewish Quarter.
Ariel (Szeroka 17) calls itself a Jewish restaurant and has a long menu to match. Gefilte fish and Jewish-style carp cost 36 PLN each, Berdichev soup with beef, honey and cinnamon is 35 PLN, and cholent, the slow-cooked Sabbath stew, is 50 PLN. Main courses cost 41 to 102 PLN; roast goose with cherries is 93 PLN. Every evening at 20:00 live bands play Jewish and Galician music in two 30-minute sets. If you want to hear the concert, say so when you book your table.
Klezmer-Hois (Szeroka 6) is a restaurant, cafe, guest house and bookshop in the building of a former ritual bath, 100 m from the Remuh Synagogue. It serves traditional Jewish dishes and puts on a concert of Jewish music every day at 20:00. Klezmer-Hois states on its website that it has no kosher certificate, although its kitchen follows the basic rules of kosher cooking. If you keep strictly kosher, ask the restaurant before you order.
A third address on the same street is Dawno Temu na Kazimierzu (Szeroka 1). Guides describe it differently. In Your Pocket lists it among Jewish restaurants and says its front is built to look like a row of small shops from the early 20th century. The city tourism portal Kraków Travel describes it as a place for traditional Polish dishes in a retro interior and gives its hours as 11:00 to 22:30 every day. Its own website was not reachable when we checked.

Where to eat traditional Polish food in Kazimierz?
For traditional Polish cuisine in Kazimierz, the one place whose details we could confirm on its own website is Marchewka z Groszkiem (Mostowa 2). Everything is cooked on site, the pierogi included, and from Monday to Friday there is a different lunch special each day. It is open from 12:00 to 21:00, and until 22:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.

One more, just outside Kazimierz
Pod Wawelem is not in Kazimierz. It is at św. Gertrudy 26-29, at the foot of Wawel Castle, and is known for pork knuckle and other heavy Galician dishes, has a garden beside the Planty park that stays open all year, and has live music in the evenings. For international flavors in Kazimierz, go to Hamsa for Middle Eastern food, Nolio for Neapolitan pizza and Zazie Bistro for French cooking. For vegan fast food, Vegab is outside the district.
Hamsa (Szeroka 2 / Miodowa 41) describes itself as a Middle Eastern restaurant. On warm days it opens a quiet garden on the Miodowa side and a sunny one on Szeroka.
Nolio (Krakowska 27) makes Neapolitan pizza according to the traditional recipe and is a member of AVPN, the Naples association of pizza makers. It imports 90% of its ingredients from Italy. Opening hours: Monday to Wednesday 16:00 to 22:00, Thursday and Friday 16:00 to 23:00, Saturday and Sunday 13:00 to 23:00.
Zazie Bistro (Józefa 34) says its cooking is inspired by classic French flavors. It opens at 16:00 on Mondays and at 13:00 from Tuesday to Saturday; its website did not show Sunday hours when we checked.
Vegetarian and vegan options
The cafe Cheder (below) serves seasonal vegetarian and vegan dishes. Vegab has been 100% plant-based since 2015 and builds its menu around its own meat substitute made from tofu, legumes and wheat protein. Note the address: Vegab is at Starowiślna 8, not in Kazimierz itself. It is open from 11:00 to 21:00, and until 22:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Coffee is made in a finjan, a small Israeli pot, and the cafe also serves mint tea, hummus and seasonal vegetarian and vegan dishes. It keeps short hours: Tuesday to Thursday 8:00 to 15:00, Friday to Sunday 10:00 to 17:00, closed on Mondays.
Jewish desserts and crepes

Zapiekanka at Plac Nowy and other street food in Kazimierz, Kraków: where to try it?
Zapiekanka is sold from the windows of the round market hall in the middle of Plac Nowy, and it costs around 10 to 18 PLN, according to our own guide to the square. It is half a baguette toasted with mushrooms and cheese, then finished with toppings and sauce.
Hours vary from window to window, but the market's operator gives the opening hours of the marketplace as daily from 7:00 to 2:00 in the morning, which is why it is busy long after the museums close. Our page on Plac Nowy and its zapiekanka windows explains how to choose one.
If you want a table instead, Plac Nowy 1 is a restaurant at that address on the square. Its menu lists its own zapiekanka for 35 PLN, pizza Margherita for 39 PLN, burgers from 49 PLN and dzika maczanka, game goulash served with bread, for 55 PLN. It opens at 13:00 from Tuesday to Friday and at 12:00 on weekends, and it is closed on Mondays.
Dinner and nightlife in Kazimierz, Kraków: where to eat after dark?
After dark, dining in Kazimierz gives you three options: a concert dinner on Szeroka, a table at a restaurant from the Michelin Guide, or the nightlife around Plac Nowy.
For the concert dinner, both Ariel and Klezmer-Hois start their music at 20:00, so arrive earlier to order before the first set.
For fine dining, Bottiglieria 1881 (Bocheńska 5) is the only restaurant in Poland with two Michelin stars, a rating it holds for the fourth year in a row in the 2026 guide. It is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 17:00 and closed on Sundays and Mondays. Book well ahead. Karakter is on the list of Kraków restaurants recommended by the Michelin Guide Poland 2026; the In Your Pocket city guide lists it at Brzozowa 17.
Late-night bites and bars
