Rising dramatically on the border of Poland and Slovakia, the Tatra Mountains are the highest range in the Carpathians and one of the most spectacular natural wonders in Central Europe. On this full-day journey, we drive south from Kraków through the rolling foothills and into the heart of the mountains, where jagged granite peaks pierce a sky that feels impossibly close.
Our expert guide leads you along trails carefully chosen for your group's fitness level, from easy lakeside walks around the iconic Morskie Oko (Sea Eye) to more challenging ridgeline paths above the tree line. Along the way you'll learn about the unique flora, geology, and the resilient Górale - the highland people who have shaped this landscape for centuries.
We round off the day in a traditional mountain inn, warming up with żurek soup and oscypek smoked cheese before the comfortable drive back to Kraków at sunset. No mountain experience is required - just a spirit of adventure and a pair of comfortable walking shoes.
