Before you go
A short packing and readiness list. Mountain weather changes fast, so a little preparation makes the day.
Temperatures shift quickly with altitude and cloud. A warm mid-layer plus a light top layer works best.
A waterproof, breathable jacket is essential. Rain and mist can arrive within the hour, even on a clear morning.
Proper hiking shoes or trainers with grip. The paved Morskie Oko road is easy underfoot, but higher trails are rocky and uneven.
The sun is strong at altitude. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat, even when it feels cool.
Bottled water and energy snacks are provided. Bring any extras you like, plus cash for food at the inn.
The classic Morskie Oko route is a paved road of about 9 km each way with gentle elevation. Higher trails ask for more, and the guide adjusts to your group.
A small national park entry fee (about 11 PLN) is paid on the day, and meals at the inn run roughly 40 to 80 PLN.
Light rain is fine and often beautiful in the mist. In dangerous storms or road closures we reschedule or refund.

About this tour
