Energylandia from Kraków: Tickets, Opening Hours, Rides and How to Get There

Energylandia is the amusement park that bills itself as Poland's largest, with 133 attractions on 90 hectares and 19 operating roller coasters. It is not in Kraków but in the small town of Zator, about 55 km west of the city, roughly an hour away by car. A one-day ticket bought online costs 209 PLN in autumn 2026 and 229 PLN in summer 2027, and the park is closed for most of November and from February to early April.

The short answer. Buy your ticket online (a one-day ticket is 10 PLN cheaper than at the gate), check the park's calendar for your date, arrive before the 10:00 opening and ride the big coasters first. Getting there is the part most visitors from Kraków have to plan, so we cover every option below, including our own private transfer. Prices, hours and height limits come from Energylandia's own pages and were checked on 22 September 2026.

Where is Energylandia, and is it in Kraków?

No, it is in Zator, a town between Kraków and Katowice. The park describes itself as sitting on the border of the two biggest urban areas of southern Poland. From Kraków it is around 55 km, and the drive usually takes about an hour, a bit longer when traffic out of the city is heavy. That distance is why so many visitors ask whether it can be done as a day trip. It can, easily, as long as you sort out transport before the day.

How to get to Energylandia from Kraków

There are four realistic ways: the park's own bus, the train, driving yourself, or a private transfer.

The Energylandia bus from Kraków

The park runs its own coach from the MDA bus station at ul. Bosacka 18. When we checked the booking site on 22 September 2026, a normal autumn day had one coach at 08:30, arriving at 09:45, and one back from the park at 18:30, reaching Kraków at 19:45. On the Halloween Weekend dates there was an extra 09:30 departure and the return left at 19:30. Each direction costs 24.50 PLN, and the booking page adds both legs together, so the return trip comes to 49 PLN per person.

The conditions matter more than the price. Tickets are sold only as returns, one per person, with no family or reduced fares. Each ticket is valid only for the date and times printed on it and cannot be refunded. Seating is limited, so book early. The coach makes no other stops. There are also coaches from Katowice and Oświęcim.

The return leaves about half an hour after the park closes, so you do not have to cut the day short. The catch is the calendar: when we checked, the booking site showed no coaches yet for Winter Kingdom days or for any 2027 date. Check your own date on bus.energylandia.pl before you plan around it.

The train to Zator

Trains run to Zator, and Energylandia's own travel page simply sends you to KOLEO, the Polish train booking site, for timetables and tickets. Before you rely on the train, check on a map how far Zator station is from the park entrance and how you will cover that stretch, especially with children or on a hot day.

Driving and parking

The car park is right in front of the entrance and costs 30 PLN for the whole day. You can also add parking when you buy tickets online. Coaches park for free. The park's own tip is to check Google Maps before you leave, because traffic can add up to 30 minutes.

Private transfer from Kraków with YourKrakow

If you are a family or a group, a private transfer to Energylandia is usually the least tiring option. We pick you up at your hotel, apartment or any address in Kraków and drive you straight to the park gate, on your schedule rather than the coach's. The price is per vehicle, not per person: 450 PLN one way in a car for 1 to 3 passengers, and 600 PLN in a van for 4 to 8. For a group of eight in the van, that works out at 75 PLN each.

The coach is the cheapest option per person. A transfer makes more sense when there are several of you, have small children or luggage, or want to leave and come back at your own times. A return trip, with a pickup at whatever time you choose, can be arranged when you book; ask us for the price for your date. You pay the driver in cash or by card, there is no deposit, and you can book through WhatsApp or the form on the transfer page.

Energylandia tickets and prices for 2026 and 2027

Prices depend on the season. The park sells tickets in four price periods, and day tickets are cheaper online than at the ticket office. These are the online prices for a one-day ticket:

• Autumn, 1 September to 31 October 2026: 209 PLN regular, 169 PLN reduced.
• Winter Kingdom, 28 November 2026 to 31 January 2027: 149 PLN regular, 129 PLN reduced.
• Spring, 3 April to 25 June 2027: 209 PLN regular, 169 PLN reduced.
• Summer, 26 June to 31 August 2027: 229 PLN regular, 189 PLN reduced.

At the ticket office a one-day ticket is 10 PLN more, for example 219 PLN instead of 209 PLN in autumn. Two-day tickets cost 379 PLN online in autumn and spring and 419 PLN in summer, 20 PLN less than at the office; three-day tickets cost 539 PLN and 589 PLN, 30 PLN less. A yearly pass is 999 PLN either way.

Who pays the reduced price? Anyone under 140 cm tall, seniors aged 65 and over, pregnant women and people with a disability certificate. Height, not age, is what counts for children, so a tall ten-year-old pays the regular price. Children up to 3 years old go in for 1 PLN with a document confirming their age. There is also a birthday offer: anyone up to and including 18 years old pays 1 PLN on their birthday, with photo ID, but this ticket is sold only at the park ticket offices. If the birthday falls on a day the park is closed, the calendar names a replacement date.

One ticket covers every ride, show and the Water Park. There is no cheaper “walking” ticket for people who only want to accompany others, and no separate Water Park ticket. For an individual visit you do not need a reservation; the ticket is enough.

Energylandia opening hours and season dates

The park's calendar gives exact hours for every day. The pattern for the coming months:

• September 2026: open daily, 10:00 to 18:00, with the Polish Golden Autumn and Oktoberfest programme from 12 September to 4 October.
• October 2026: Halloween Time from 5 October, open daily 10:00 to 18:00, and until 19:00 on the Halloween Weekends of 23 to 25 October and 30 to 31 October.
• November 2026: closed from 1 to 27 November.
• 28 November 2026 to 31 January 2027: Winter Kingdom, 11:30 to 18:30, but only on selected days, mostly weekends plus the Christmas break.
• February and March 2027: closed.
• 2027 season: opens 3 April, with some closed weekdays in April; from 22 April open daily 10:00 to 18:00; summer hours 10:00 to 20:00 from 26 June to 31 August.

Summer 2027 has four Magic Night evenings when the park stays open until 23:00: 10 July, 24 July, 7 August and 21 August. The calendar can change, so check the date you want on energylandia.pl before booking anything non-refundable.

Is Energylandia open in winter?

Partly. From late November to the end of January the park runs Winter Kingdom, a Christmas version of itself, on selected days from 11:30 to 18:30. In the 2026/27 season those days are 28 and 29 November, then 4 to 6, 11 to 13 and 19 to 20 December, and 26 to 30 December. In January it opens from 2 to 6 January and then on the weekends of 9 and 10, 16 and 17, 23 and 24, and 30 and 31 January. It is closed from 21 to 25 December and on 31 December and 1 January.

Expect a light garden that the park calls the largest in Poland, some roller coasters and carousels, an ice rink, snowtubing, a Christmas market, Santa Claus, gingerbread decorating and a winter parade. It is a different experience from a summer day, and tickets are cheaper: 149 PLN online, or 84 PLN for an afternoon ticket valid from 15:00 (74 PLN reduced). Dress for it: the park recommends layers, ski clothing and close-fitting hats, because loose scarves and hats are not allowed on many rides. When is Energylandia busy, and when should you go?

The park's calendar shows a “traffic intensity” label for each open day, and it is worth looking at before you choose a date. The calendar does not publish numbers, so treat the label as a guide rather than a promise.

Beyond that, the park's own advice is simple. Be at the gate before 10:00 and head straight for the most popular rides. Its blog recommends starting with Zadra, whose queue is shortest in the morning, and says Hyperion is often quieter at lunchtime. Speed, the water coaster, gets busier as the day warms up, so ride it early on a hot day. The official Energylandia app shows live waiting times for each ride, which is the most useful thing you can have on your phone that day.

The summer season, from late June to the end of August, has the longest hours and the highest prices. Spring and autumn days cost 20 PLN less online and close at 18:00.

Is the Energy Pass worth it?

The Energy Pass is Energylandia's fast pass. It lets you use a separate Energy Pass entrance once at each of fourteen headline rides: Hyperion, Zadra, Mayan, Abyssus, Choco Chip Creek, Toffifee Kopalnia Złota, Space Booster, Energuś, Anaconda, Aztec Swing, Formuła, Speed, RMF Dragon and Tsunami Dropper. It costs 219 PLN in autumn and spring and 239 PLN in summer. A reduced version for children under 140 cm covers eight of those rides and costs 179 PLN, or 199 PLN in summer. During Winter Kingdom the pass costs 159 PLN and covers only nine rides: Hyperion, Zadra, Mayan, Choco Chip Creek, Space Booster, Energuś, Aztec Swing, Formuła and RMF Dragon. The reduced winter pass, at 139 PLN, covers four.

Three things to know before buying. It is not an entry ticket, so you pay for it on top of admission. Each ride can be used only once through the fast entrance. And you must bring it printed; the park says so on both its FAQ and its Energy Pass page. You can buy it online or in any shop inside the park.

Whether it pays off depends on the day. On a busy summer day the fast entrance saves the most time. On a quieter day, arriving at opening and following the app may be enough. The pass roughly doubles the cost of the day, so decide once you know how crowded your date is likely to be.

Energylandia height requirements

Height limits at Energylandia are mandatory. Every attraction has a minimum, some also have a maximum, and each limit is posted at the ride entrance, on the park map and on the website. The main ones, from the park's ride pages:

• Hyperion: 140 to 195 cm.
• Zadra: from 140 cm.
• Speed (water coaster) and Space Booster: 140 to 195 cm.
• Abyssus and Formuła: 120 to 140 cm with an adult, alone from 140 cm.
• Tsunami Dropper: 130 to 195 cm.
• RMF Dragon: 120 to 130 cm with an adult, alone from 130 cm.
• Energuś, Frida, Boomerang and Honey Harbour: 100 to 120 cm with an adult, alone from 120 cm.

The number to remember is 140 cm. Below it, a child pays the reduced price, but most of the big coasters stay off limits. Above 195 cm, some extreme rides are off limits too. The best roller coasters at Energylandia

With 19 coasters there is plenty to choose from, but most people come for a handful.

• Hyperion. The tallest and fastest coaster in Poland: 77 m high, a 1,450 m track, a first drop at 85 degrees and a top speed of 142 km/h.
• Zadra. A hybrid coaster that combines steel and wood, 63.8 m high, 121 km/h, with a 1,316 m track. The park calls it the tallest hybrid coaster in the world.
• Abyssus. A launched coaster that accelerates twice during the ride, 38.5 m high and 100 km/h, in the Aqualantis zone.
• Formuła. Launches to about 100 km/h in two seconds, with no lift hill.
• Speed. A 60 m water coaster that reaches 110 km/h, and the one to ride on a hot day, ideally before the queue builds.
• Mayan. A suspended looping coaster, 33.3 m high, 80 km/h.

For something gentler, the Wonder Wheel is a 53 m Ferris wheel open to anyone from 120 cm, and the family zone has several smaller coasters.

The Energylandia Water Park

The Water Park is part of your ticket; you cannot buy entry to it alone. It opens mainly in summer, when the weather is good and the temperature reaches at least 20°C, so do not plan a spring or autumn visit around it. Bring a swimsuit, a towel and flip-flops. Flip-flops are fine in the pool area but not allowed on the rides, so pack proper shoes as well.

Can you bring food into Energylandia?

Yes, within reason. The park's own packing guide recommends a small backpack with water and snacks, and there are food outlets and drink machines across the park if you run out. The park rules forbid alcohol bought outside the park and smoking outside the marked areas. Food itself is not on the list of banned items.

The practical problem is the backpack, not the food. For safety reasons you cannot take a backpack on roller coasters. There are paid lockers at the entrance, in the extreme zone and next to the biggest rides such as Hyperion and Zadra. Many smaller rides have shelves where you can leave things during the ride, but the staff are not responsible for them, so keep valuables in a locker. A bum bag is the easiest solution. A few other rules worth knowing. Dogs are not allowed, apart from assistance dogs. Pregnant women cannot use the rides, although they can buy a reduced ticket at the ticket office with a pregnancy card. If you need to leave during the day, ask at the gate for a wristband and keep your ticket to get back in the same day.

Does Energylandia open when it rains?

Yes, the park stays open in the rain. Under the park rules, rides that depend on the weather are not available during storms, gales, heavy rain or hail, while all the other attractions stay open to guests. The park suggests packing a light rain jacket or poncho, and its app shows live waiting times for the rides that are running.

How many days do you need at Energylandia?

One full day is enough to ride the headline coasters, especially if you arrive at opening. Families who want the Water Park, the shows and the children's zones at a relaxed pace may prefer two days. A two-day ticket costs 379 PLN online in autumn and spring, less than two single days. Halloween at Energylandia

Halloween Time runs from 5 to 31 October 2026, open daily from 10:00 to 18:00. The two Halloween Weekends, 23 to 25 October and 30 to 31 October, stay open until 19:00. Autumn prices apply, 209 PLN online for a day, and it is the last chance to visit before the park closes on 1 November.

Is Energylandia worth it?

If you like roller coasters, yes. No other park in the world has more operating coasters, according to the Roller Coaster DataBase, and a single ticket covers all of it, including the Water Park. It is less compelling if you mainly want to see Kraków, have a short trip or are travelling with very small children who fall below most height limits. Then half a day in the city, or an electric cart tour of Kraków, may fit better.

Whatever you decide, plan the journey first. The coach is cheap but runs only on listed dates, at fixed times and with limited seats, the train leaves you to plan the way from Zator station, and a car means parking and the drive back after a long day.
